Even Malayalam orth file in fontconfig does not list these characters. So missing these characters does not affect much making Meera as a default fonts. On the other hand community prefers Meera (Traditional script) fonts. So we should move with it. But i think having Lohit Malayalam in the default installation will be good. As it provide more coverage and also support Malayalam new script, so does not make redundancy with Meera.
