I forget to mention, the reason for the misalignment in the first place is that
it that for some reason it is loading up the terminus font without the
powerline characters in it (Terminus does have support for these characters) so
the font rendering system is falling back to the powerline TTF font for these
characters. That fallback doesn't align well and didn't happen previously.
