            Bug ID: 1787668
Summary: fonttosfnt update required for converting bitmap fonts
                    to OTB
           Product: Fedora
           Version: 31
            Status: NEW
         Component: xorg-x11-font-utils
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

                    [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---
    Classification: Fedora

Description of problem:

fonttosfnt needs a few fixes and improvements from upstream
and maybe upstream's pull requests to properly generate
*.otb files from legacy bitmap font files.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

    xorg-x11-font-utils-7.5-42.fc31.x86_64

How reproducible:

    100%

Steps to Reproduce:

    1. fonttosfnt -b -c -g 2 -m 2 -o terminusn.otb ter-u*n.bdf

Actual results:

Weird spacing with the *.otb font.

Expected results:

Proper spacing with the *.otb font.

Additional info:

The details can be found at
    https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1753295 and
    https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1748495
which I will summarized them properly in this bug later, but
first we need a bug for this issue.
