AFAIK GIMP doesn't use XftConfig/XFT. It seems your video card supports anti-aliasing (AA)/RENDER ext., and Kfontinst installed fonts to be availble via Xft. So, most likely, you should ask GIMP developers when they are going to support AA. | | Opera shows nearly all fonts in such a small size that | nothing could be read! Have you checked what "dpi" settings your X server has? I have different *complain* about Opera - it's fonts are *too big* in Opera5/Linux. Konqueror has *right size* for all fonts. So, it seems, Opera is doing some tweaking with fonts, but I have no idea what they are trying to express with this. | | I installed Corel Photopaint wich works fine. | | Could there be a Problem with xffst and xfs or even | with fonttastic (I think it's used by Photopaint)?? check /etc/X11/XftConfig -- Vadim Plessky http://kde2.newmail.ru (English) 33 Window Decorations and 6 Widget Styles for KDE http://kde2.newmail.ru/kde_themes.html KDE mini-Themes http://kde2.newmail.ru/themes/ _______________________________________________ Fonts mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/fonts
