Hi,
I'm just wondering what XFree86's position is going to be with regard
to Type1 font handling, given that FreeType now ships with a T1
renderer? If the matter's open for discussion, I'd like to put in a
word for the FreeType version, given that it seems to perform better
than the current one, and it provides a (more) unified interface to
the underlying font data, if one wants to access it.
(I'd also like to vote for /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/TrueType as the default
TrueType directory, just for consistency with [...]/Type1. But that
really *is* a cosmetic issue :-) .
