Dear developers:
I'm using Redhat 8.0 , the font selection (for example in
gnome-terminal ) always gives me very few options, but in fact I
have many many fonts installed,
then I googled and found Gnome2 changed to fontconfig, so I
tried
to edit my /etc/fonts/fonts.conf,
I added my extra fonts dir to the dir section,
and added a
<alias>
<family> fixed < /family>
<prefer> fixed<prefer>
.....
</alia>
section to it,
restarted X session,
still it doesn't work,
looks as though that it only looks for TTF fonts, but I want
"fixed" fonts just like the default in old gnome-terminal,
how can I do it?
