Not necessarily. What would make the most sense, given that it was more or less
agreed upon that the fix was valid for the issue at hand, is to create a new
issue to track this and continue the discussion there. Can be marked related to
this one, for reference to the above, if needed.
Apart from that, you are free to attach your patch proposal there for further
review or even commit it directly, if you need it fast. We'll either follow, or
yell if we don't agree. ;)
