I tried with auto detection font for poppins and found it automatically maps to
font weight 400 or normal 200 and not 300 as FOP looks for 400 weight font as
normal and 700 as bold.
Font weight are mapped based on Font names, so this is classified as not a bug.
Let me know if you need mapping for font name and font weight.

Workaround as suggested by Simon is to use explicit font weight mapping.
