Daniel, There are a few people who have dealt with hyphenation in the past, but they are not very active currently. I do see some code dealing with hyphenation at the text level which is commented out. I suspect that may be because it didn't quite work as planned. If you would submit this as a bug to bugzilla, we will keep being reminded of it and hopefully address it. We are planning some major rewriting of the layout code, including inline objects, so we'll try to make sure this works as part of that.
