From: Dennis Myrén <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi.

I am just sending you a letter to announce my interest in being part of the FOP developer team.

Currently, I am myself writing a commercial PDF generator from scratch for my company

(not at all based on FOP of course).

Hi Dennis,

I hope you dont mind but I'm copying the Fop-Dev list in my reply.

I have for a long time been a member of fop-user mailing list as well as XSL-FO developer list at yahoo.

I saw that there currently was a small number of FOP developers active and the progress is slow,

so I thought maybe I could be of some help.

I'm not actually a developer of FOP myself, lack of time permits me developing any code, but I would like to promote FOP as much as possible. FOP badly needs development resource, so the Team welcomes you with open arms. To get started, its worth reading the web site.

http://xml.apache.org/fop/dev/index.html#involved

The first steps include; installing a CVS client, downloading the code, learning the coding standards, and submit patch procedure.

<snip/>

Thanks,

Chris
