Dear FopSupport, I am sorry that I had to write directly to this email. I am a little bit lost in finding an guided example to generate PDF containing japanese characters. I have seen that there are bugs reported in the bug list related to this subject, but I believe the current fop 1.0 supports japanese encoding (so that my pdfs don't show the # character).
