Professional printers can use PDFVT or PDF Page Piece to control things like
what printer tray is used or cache pdf objects in memory for performance.
PDFVT needs in fop.xconf
<pdf-x-mode>PDF/X-4</pdf-x-mode>
<pdf-vt-mode>PDF/VT-1</pdf-vt-mode>
and metadata for each page:
