Archimedes Trajano commented on FOP-2734: ----------------------------------------- I am suspecting it is because PDFBOX does not support all substitution tables. If I use the Noto Emoji fonts 14:23:24.631 [main] DEBUG org.apache.fontbox.ttf.GlyphSubstitutionTable - Type 3 GSUB lookup table is not supported and will be ignored 14:23:24.631 [main] DEBUG org.apache.fontbox.ttf.GlyphSubstitutionTable - Type 4 GSUB lookup table is not supported and will be ignored 14:23:24.631 [main] DEBUG org.apache.fontbox.ttf.GlyphSubstitutionTable - Type 6 GSUB lookup table is not supported and will be ignored 14:23:24.632 [main] DEBUG org.apache.fontbox.ttf.GlyphSubstitutionTable - Type 7 GSUB lookup table is not supported and will be ignored I took out the duplicates. I think the trunk version supports type 4 now. > issue in Printing emoji symbols in pdf by using fo.ftl > ------------------------------------------------------ > > Key: FOP-2734 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/FOP-2734 > Project: FOP > Issue Type: Bug > Components: fo/block > Affects Versions: 2.2 > Environment: Ubuntu, Windows , Java, FTL > Reporter: Nagendra > Priority: Major > Labels: EmojiOne, FOP, Java7, documentation, emoji, fonts > Attachments: MessageCard-22-08-2017-17-54-18.pdf > > Original Estimate: 48h > Remaining Estimate: 48h > > Issue in printing pdf, By using apache freemarker fo.ftl, The text to be > print in pdf is "☹️😀😃😄😁😆😅😂🤣☺️😊😇🙂🙃😉😌😌😍😘😗" , But instead printing > "☹️########☺️##########" . > Can you please check the following attachment of pdf which is having the > issue. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
