I have my doubts, that it happens in short time.
Meanwhile you can have a look at this fork:

It is not yet on Maven central, but we are currently gathering ourselves and
reviewing the included patches again.
When this is done, at least we will publish it on Maven Central - or a
committer takes care of my tickets and includes them here.
