In fact

myxsl:fo is :

<fo:block start-indent="5mm" white-space-collapse="false"
linefeed-treatment="preserve">

<fo:inline font-family="Times"><fo:inline font-weight="bold">                             XXXXXX
</fo:inline></fo:inline><fo:inline font-family="Times"><fo:inline font-weight="bold">                             YYYYYYY
</fo:inline></fo:inline><fo:inline font-family="Times"><fo:inline font-weight="bold">   __________________________________</fo:inline>
</fo:inline><fo:inline font-family="Times">    Identifiant : <xsl:value-of select="variables/[EMAIL PROTECTED]'zcli']" /></fo:inline>
</fo:block>

and XXXXXXX doesn't appear after break lines

(i can't do differently because this xsl comes from a program which migrate old editions)

Hmmm, try again, I just checked it in fop-0.20.4 - the following
<fo:block start-indent="5mm" border="thin solid" white-space-collapse="false"
linefeed-treatment="preserve">

</fo:block>
produces bordered square.
How do you run it? Make sure any parser/xslt processor, like msxml doesn't
strip white-space only nodes.
