I have been unable to run FOP on Weblogic. It keeps throwing a AbstractMethodError when I try to transform the XSL
and XML FO into a PDF using FOP. I am using jdk1.3.0 and Weblogic 6.0 and fop-0.20.5rc2. The classpath used while starting Weblogic is:

CLASSPATH=.;D:\erf\lib\avalon-framework-cvs-20020806.jar;D:\erf\lib\bati
k.jar;D:\erf\lib\fop.jar;D:\erf\lib\xalan-2.4.1.jar;D:\erf\lib\xercesImp
l-2.2.1.jar;D:\erf\lib\xml-apis.jar;D:\erf\lib\struts.jar;D:\erf\lib\log
4j-1.2.7.jar;c:\bea;c:\bea\jdk130;c:\bea\wlserver6.0;c:\bea\wlserver6.0\
config\mydomain\clientclasses;c:\bea\jdk130\lib\tools.jar;c:\bea\wlserve
r6.0\lib\weblogic_sp.jar;c:\bea\wlserver6.0\lib\weblogic.jar;

The exception details are as follows: java.lang.AbstractMethodError
        at
org.apache.fop.apps.Driver.getParserClassName(Driver.java:167)

This indicates a problem with some outdated jars or classes somewhere. Search the list archives, for example read http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=fop-user&m=102348013418651&w=2
