Hi back,

my suggestion is to prove if your xml-file is saved as utf. It could be that
your ide saves it as ascii or something else.

Betreff: UTF-8 errors

Hi,

When I run FOP, I get the following error...

"Invalid byte 2 of 2 byte UTF-8 sequence"

...followed by an extensive trace.

I have a pretty clear idea of what it mean but not what to do about it!!
The following problems spring to mind...
* What file is the invalid sequence in? Is it my xml (input) file or the
xsl file?
* Even if I identify the file, where/which character is causing the problem
* how do I fix it :-)

I guess what I am saying is that the error message is getting towards
useless...

Has anybody got any suggestions on how to proceed with this?

Any help much appreciated
