Hi Im having some strange problem regarding PDF which I hope someone could help me with, although Im not 100% sure its a FOP problem...
On a weblogic server we transform XML documents to FO via XSLT, and render it to PDF, all within COCOON. The PDF is then sent to the browser where Acrobat reader opens. However, occasionaly some problem obviousley occurs, resulting in no error messages, but the browser displays the PDF code instead of starting Acrobat reader. If I manipulate the "faulty" source XML slightly, for example change a digit or something (pure XML, it isnt the FO code or anything), the browser nicely opens the resulting PDF document... Also, if I would have saved the "garbage" PDF code that the browser displayed, and instead opened Acrobat reader manually with that saved file...it would have been shown correctly. So my question, what the heck is the problem? One might think its a browser problem, but that seems a bit far fetched to me since 99.99% of all documents opens as they should, and I dont think its a weblogic problem...so all I can think of is FOP. Im using FOP 0.20.3, Weblogic 6.1, IE6. Anyone has any idea? Any input appreciated!
