I already had created the xml files for all the 8 combinations of Times NEw Roman and Arial i.e ( base 2 + bold/italic/bold-italic 2 )
Now it displays Times New Roman, normal properly but still gives erros for Times New Roman, Italic, normal and Arial,italic,bold The problem was in the userconfig.xml file I had something like this <font metrics-file="timesbi.xml" kerning="yes" embed-file="C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\timesbi.ttf"> <font-triplet name="Times New Roman" style="normal" weight="normal"/> </font> For Times Bold, Italic but later I figured out I need the following <font metrics-file="timesbi.xml" kerning="yes" embed-file="C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\timesbi.ttf"> <font-triplet name="Times New Roman" style="bold" weight="italic"/> </font> *** SEE THE DIFFERENCES IN ABOVE TWO. style="normal" and style="italic" So the problem is solved.
