I really don't know whether we can reduce the creation time of Driver
object. However in a multi-user environment we can reuse the Driver
object (http://xml.apache.org/fop/embedding.html#object-reuse). It would
be better to pool the Driver object and the renderer object and reuse
them across multiple invocation, you might end-up saving few seconds.

Hi,
While creating org.apache.fop.apps.Driver object, to set logger
and
renderer,
is taking very longtime compare to transformation and other activities.
Sample times in Milli seconds, Total pdf conversion is taking 5624
millis In that,
- Creating Driver object taking 3015 millis
- Setting renderer taking 250 millis
- Transformation is taking around 1890 millis
- Remaining some miscellaneous activities.
>From the above statistics, it is clear that, creating Driver object is
taking huge time. My statement looks like
private Driver m_driver = null;
private void init()
{
m_driver = new Driver();
}
Can we reduce the time taken to by above statement. Can it be solvable.
