<xsl:variable name="lowercase">abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz</xsl:variable> <xsl:template match="text()"> <xsl:value-of select="translate(.,$lowercase,$uppercase)"/> </xsl:template> This will translate all lowercase text in XML to uppercase.
