When using the java application org.apache.fop.fonts.apps.TTFReader to convert a TTF file to an XML metrics file, I get this message:
This font contains no embedding license restrictions Does this mean that I can distrubute this font to FOP users legally? I am actually getting this font from http://www.clipserver.de This website states that the fonts in question actually are copyrighted to various foundries. However, it appears that the foundries themselves have not put any restrictions on the use of their true-type fonts. (I believet these foundrries would charge and restrict for the post-script version of their fonts.) I just want to make sure that since there are no licensing restrictions within the TTF file, that means the foundry is allowing it to be used and distributed, as long as users didn't try to sell the font or make money off of it in any way.
