Note that automatic generation of bold glyphs is Hi Tech, especially
for CJK fonts (stroke caps are often problematic). You might ask
the fontforge maintainers for more details about apropriate software.

Well, try Google. Admittedly, bold Hei or Song fonts seem to be
hard to come by.
