I believe it was so you could get a better overview of what repositories
were syncing. I think the sync status dashboard widget is not currently
well suited for that.
If we had a 'repositories' page where we could just list repos across
the organization, that would likely be a better place to show this
information (and allow the user to filter to see only what are currently
syncing).
If we were going to just yank the sync status page, i think we would
need to do some user interviews and confirm that the products page and
dashboard widgets fulfill their needs.
