Hi, I am not sure I understood correctly, but sounds like you did not upgrade to Katello 2.4.3 before following the upgrade steps for 3.x? Updating to 2.4.3 should just be a matter of running a 'yum update' followed by 'katello-installer --upgrade', assuming you have not altered repositories since you installed 2.4.
