Ah, you mean because [/usr]/sbin might not be in $PATH of non-root
user?

Yes. But now I realize that smartctl and hdparm seems useless for
non-root user in my system. Even if the user is in the "disk" group and
has full access to the device file in /dev.
Probably fixing the #620096 is enough and this is wont fix bug.
