Annoying but not strange. Newb^h^h^h^hPeople use their work email for the list, then when they go on vacation, they forget about the lists. Their email accounts are toggled to send those responses automatically to anyone sending them a message. You'll only see those kind of replies to the messages you yourself have sent to the list.
