DFRWS 2007 is less than a month away and the reduced hotel rate will be expiring on July 20 (so book your room soon!). The 7th Annual DFRWS conference will be held in Pittsburgh, PA from August 13 to 15 and includes research papers and presentations on topics ranging from fresh analysis techniques for memory contents and log data to novel algorithms for data carving and parallel processing of large data sets. The conference also features tool demos, the popular forensic rodeo during the banquet, and the results of the 2007 File Carving Challenge. Keynote talks will be from Greg Hoglund (www.rootkit.com, HBGary, Inc) and Ronald van der Knijff (Netherlands Forensic Institute).
