I agree with Kess and think that there are also quite a few things online to
educate, the primary difference will be whether you want to be certified by
some organization or not.

Hi Don et al.

You might also want to take a look at online offerings from Champlain
College in Vermont.

The question that I might have is -- are you looking for training or
education? In some ways, training will get you up to speed in some facets of
computer forensics faster than education might, but I think that education
will provide better long-term value. I think that what you really need is a
combination of both over time....

Cheers!

Subject: Computer forensics training

Hello everyone.

I have 15 years in the field of software QA and am now interested in
computer forensics. I have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer
Science already. I am looking for training, preferably at the university
level, for computer forensics as my company will pay for university courses.
Anything physically close to the Portland, Oregon area would be great.
Anything online would also be good.

Anyone who would like to share their experiences of how they were trained in
this field would also be welcomed. Maybe university training is not the
best for this subject matter.

Thanks,

Don
