Zodman, thanks, disabling and enabling it did work, and my touchpad is working again. Antonio, thanks for the context.
Now I'm trying to figure out how to make it work like it was. Are we using Xorg hotplugging now? I'm trying to make my touchpad have vertical scrolling, and tap = mouse click. I've spent a lo to ftime on the Archlinux wiki pages - neither the Xorg.conf settings they recommend are working (if hotplugging is not enabled - these are the same settings that were working for me) and I've also tried to assume hotplugging is now default in Foresight, but neither of the /etc/hal/fdi/policy/11-x11-synaptics.fdi works: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics Anyone have any pointers on how to tweak my touchpad?
