Hi guys, For most part of the last 3 years I wasn't too sure about what was happening with the community and the distro. Sure I could always bug Ken and get the information from him, but what good does that do to those who don't get to bug him? :) So I figure I'd try to update everyone on what's happening with the hope that it will keep people informed, as well as help us keep focused on what needs to be done. This first "issue" will be fairly slim but with your help I hope to add more substantial and relevant information in the up coming issues.
Before I start, however, a couple of questions: * Can we create a generic and public calendar that we can add events and meetings to it and share with everyone? I'd prefer to use Google Calendar as it ties really well with our current email system. * Is there a good way to query for commit activity during a given time span? For instance, can we query what packages (or how many) were committed to a given label during the last 7 days? I'd like to schedule a Bug Squashing day for this Friday so that we can triage the issues that are queuing up in FITS and resolve/assign them as appropriate. I'd like to make this a recurring event (and add it to the calendar I mentioned before), but more to follow on this topic. I'm sure i have a few more questions/comments but cannot remember it right now, so... here's what I gathered for this first issue: Foresight Council meeting, 2006-06-12 ================================ Last Friday we gathered together on #foresight-council to hold the Foresight Council meeting.
