Would there be any sense in approaching upstream on this and perhaps finding
a way we can both benefit. It seems like a good place to extend anacondas
reach for both parties.

FL 2.2:

2.6.31 does contain some very useful enhancements for a desktop, we might
also benefit from pulling ingo molnars scheduler tip as was just merged in
.32. It makes a huge difference in latency and responsiveness.

With regards to upstart what is the plan, full on conversion to upstart in
