all gnome-2.28 bits are built in the repo, groups are closed and
things generally work. Currently known issues are ...
a) power management is busted (see bellow)
b) {netbook,ume}-launcher had to be commented in the groups until
they get bumped to a version that relies in clutter-1.x
c) the notification stuff was synced with upstream but some issues
remain - indicator-applet gets no icons and notify-osd doesn't seem
to behave - are those i catched
d) gnome-main-menu doesn't 'feel' right. we need to sort if this is new
upstream behaviour or if breakage is involved.
e) virt-manager needs to be called with sudo

back to power management... Due to the fact that we are locked in glibc-2.5
from rPL, we can't bump udev, polkit, and DeviceKit as those one way or
another
rely on glibc features ours doesn't have. So, everything is still built
against
PolicyKit-0.9, and preexisting DevKit stuff. our Power Management relies
atm in
DeviceKit-power. as we have an half backed DeviceKit stack we may need to
totally drop it if possible. researching atm on that front.

All the best,

António
