And again... Read http://ewtroan.livejournal.com/25423.html and http://www.rpath.com/corp/component/content/article/57-2009-news/541-11302009b for some context on why we've been spending so much time on developing capsule support in Conary for RPM capsules. That will give you an idea which large sets of RPM packages we have been doing most of our test imports on so far. (Not all, though; you'll see in there critical things for Boots like handling xz compression.) On the boots import side, you'll see if you follow http://bitbucket.org/johnsonm/mirrorball-boots-config/ that I've been working on setting up some bootstrapping. We have repurposed some hardware to give me a temporary system to hold the Conary repository during the initial bootstrap, since that's a pretty intense process. (Keeping up with errata after the fact is a lot easier!) The good news is that where this repository lives will allow me to borrow the rPath build system for the import process; the bad news is that where this repository lives is definitely not publicly accessible, so this work won't be generally available during the bootstrap process. We are still very much missing a volunteer of record to do PackageKit Conary backend integration for Boots. See the "?" at http://wiki.foresightlinux.org/display/boots/Developers and fill it in (and mention it here) if you are volunteering! And thank you! _______________________________________________ Foresight-devel mailing list Foresight-devel@lists.rpath.org http://lists.rpath.org/mailman/listinfo/foresight-devel
