We are seeing odd behaviour with this one and are investigating what is going on, but we haven't found a solution yet. We will take a long hard look at it over the weekend -- you are more than welcome to lend a hand! > Also, as Fedora are driving the integration work between PA and ALSA > (and PA relies on ALSA initializing sound hardware correctly), we're > going to try to bump the ALSA+PA related troves to follow FC12 to get > the best integration possible at this moment in time. If all goes > according to plan, these bumps will land in 2-qa 'shortly'. Recently, Og reported that he had no sound. A 'pulseaudio -k' fixed it for him (it kills the sound server and restarts it). For those interested in the ideas driving the ALSA+PA integration work done by Fedora, see this link: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/VolumeControlContinued To make a long story short, PulseAudio has exposed some deficiencies in the ALSA part of the stack (at least according to PA's author). So if you are running into snags, you should definitely gather information about the hardware you use and report the bug so that we can help Fedora iron out the remaining kinks to the benefit of all of us.
