hi,

does foresight meet these expectations?
http://www.linuxbsdos.com/2012/05/03/still-in-search-of-that-perfect-desktop-distribution/

1. A Graphical Installer (check)
2. Installed Applications (it doesn't say which applications, but it
does complain about lacking non-free ones. now personally i am not
interested in non-free apps, but i know they are included so possibly
this fits)
3. Graphical Package Manager (what's the status of packagekit?)
4. A Good Security Posture (iptables is active, but i don't think there
is an application level firewall)
5. Graphical Management Applications (i think more than gnome tools is
expected here, not sure)
6. It Better Be Rolling (yup)

now i am not sure if all the criteria are sane (installed applications,
and graphical management application (the latter because i don't think
there is a good all-in-one solution for configuration)) but i think
foresight may be a close enough match to be interesting.

greetings, martin.
