There was a problem with the directory permission, too. This is fixed and
now it should work.

No. Maven resolves the SNAPSHOT to the concrete timestamp. In this case it
would be: fornax-cartridges-sculptor-parent-1.0.0-20070208.193954-3.pom
This is a special behaviour for Snapshots.
