They are mostly independent, except they are touching neighbor or
overlapping areas (especially in trans-descriptor.cc), so one may get
conflicts if one tries to apply one patch without the preceding ones.
But each patch applied over the preceding ones should be regression clean.
I forgot to add that the changes I made since v1 are probably small
enough that the approvals for v1 still apply. So I miss a review for
patches 6, 9, 11 and a second review for patches 2 and 5.
