Hello, Due to factors previously disclosed we’re going with a 2.0.0 release candidate soon, perhaps early as next week. Here are the changes:
1. FC-180 [ fortress-web ] Selenium tests to also use other drivers 2. FC-179 [ fortress-web ] Firefox 48 broke Selenium tests 3. FC-182 [ fortress-core ] AdminRoleP.removeOccupant not using tenantId 4. FC-116 Need the ability to get user specific attributes for fine grained access determinations 5. FC-181 Multitenancy for Realm and Web 6. FC-183 [ fortress-core ] Use Apache IANA Number of OID 7. FC-144 Ability to assign groups to roles That’s quite a lot and it's all going in one shot, which is the reason for not breaking it into milestones. My inclination is after the 2.0 RC1 has been out for a few weeks, running without problems, we go with the 2.0 GA. Perhaps by thanksgiving but certainly by the end of the year. My rationale for quickly moving to GA: a. these changes are distinct and do not require a lengthy period to stabilize nor a multiphased rollout b. after being at 1.0 RC level for many years not particularly excited about repeating the experience for 2.0. :-) Of course I welcome opposing viewpoints so let me know if you feel otherwise. Thanks, Shawn
