SAVOUTQ � The Save Output Queue is a facility designed to save and store spooled file data of

an output queue. It also has the facility to reprint or redisplay saved data. Some of the

information stored for the spooled files are:

The job name that created the file

The output queue where the spooled file was created

Form type used

Page size, such as lines per inch, character per inch and page breaks

The date and time the spooled file was created

The user that created the spooled file

Total number of pages and copies

Basic Features and Capabilities

You can take advantage of the SAVOUTQ�s features to control how spooled files are saved and

who can access them in the system.

Using SAVOUTQ, you can:

Reprint the saved data to your personal output queue or any output queues you are

authorized to

Redisplay the saved data

Restrict certain users from accessing your data for security reasons

Control when the spooled file on the output queue is saved. You can pre-define

certain spooled files to be saved after being in the output queue for a certain number

of days

Control which spooled file is saved based on the current spooled status. You can

pre-define certain spooled files to be saved after it has been printed in the printer.

Note: The spooled file must be defined as SAVE(*YES)

Quick search of saved spooled files using the Subset features. Users can select the

list of spooled files to be displayed by selecting a user name, job name, output queue

name, date the spooled file was created, or the spooled file name. Combinations of

these parameters are available for quick search

Cut down the number of jobs in the system by saving the spooled file and deleting

the spooled file after save

Automatic cleanup of the saved spooled file. You can predefine the number of days

to store the saved spooled file before it is purged. This cuts down the sized of the

storage used by the SAVOUTQ.

The SAVOUTQ Utility is 100% Year 2000 compatible.

Hola compa�eros, se podria copiar un cola  de salida spool a un archivo , para luego restaurar tal cual e incluso
a la misma cola , para reimprimir listados.
