I was wondering if it is possible to recover the group
G2(3) directly from the octonion algebra O:=OctaveAlgebra(GF(3)). I’ve
tried to use End(GF(3),O) and then select the bijective maps that respect
the multiplication, but it seems to hard for GAP. Is there any way to
