Dear all,

The SFB-TRR 195 "Symbolic Tools in Mathematics and their Application", a
transregional collaborative research centre hosted by the University of
Kaiserslautern (TU Kaiserslautern), RWTH Aachen University and the Saarland
University, is organizing the conference

"Women in Algebra and Symbolic Computation II"
  from November 29 – December 1, 2021
  in Bad Dürkheim, Germany.

The main organizers are Birte Johansson, Michael Kunte, Gunter Malle, Hannah
Markwig, Laura Voggesberger and Gabriela Weitze-Schmithüsen

The keynote speakers are Bettina Eick (Technische Universität Braunschweig),
Marta Panizzut (Technische Universität Berlin) and Karen Vogtmann (University
of Warwick).

The conference is dedicated to the promotion of female researchers in the
research area of our TRR. Hence the algebraic disciplines ‚group and
representation theory‘, ‚algebraic geometry‘, ‚commutative and non-commutative
algebra‘, ‚tropical and polyhedral geometry‘, ‚number theory‘ as well as
‚random matrix theory‘ and ‚free probability‘ are included. These mathematical
fields are connected through symbolic methods and computations.

We are aiming at providing a stimulating platform for female researchers.
Therefore, networking is one of the main objectives of the workshop. This
includes established female researches as well as Postdocs and graduate
students.

Travel expenses for all invited speakers will be covered to a limited extent.

If you are interested in attending the conference and receiving funding, please
apply by sending an email to Barbara Ermisch <ermi...@mathematik.uni-kl.de>
containing a short motivation letter, a description of your current work, the
name of your advisor (if PhD-student) and your CV. We expect contributions from
all participants by a talk or a poster. Deadline for all applications is
September 30th, 2021.

Please note, that the conference is subject to the development of the current
pandemic.
