Dear GAP Forum, this is to announce the availability of the new version of the LAGUNA package.
The LAGUNA package provides functionality for calculation of the normalized unit group of the modular group algebra of the finite p-group and for investigations of Lie algebras associated with group algebras. LAGUNA 3.3.2 was released on March 01, 2006 and it is available from the following pages: - http://ukrgap.exponenta.ru/laguna.htm - http://www.gap-system.org/Packages/laguna.html and also in a merged archive of all currently redistributed GAP packages available from http://www.gap-system.org/Download/index.html The new version resolves a problem in compatibility with GAP methods for Lie algebras and essentially improves performance for computation of the normalized unit group in abelian case.
