Dear gap-forum,
Is it possible to calculate Casimir invariants of Lie algebras?
Alternatively can you calculate the center of the the Universal Enveloping
Algebra?
Here's an attempt that didn't work :
gap> L:= SimpleLieAlgebra( "B", 2, Rationals );;
gap> UL:= UniversalEnvelopingAlgebra( L );;
gap> Center(UL);
Error, this case will eventually be handled by the Vector Enumerator
which is not available yet called from
OperationAlgebraHomomorphism( A, [ [ Zero( A ) ] ], OnRight ) called from
IsomorphismMatrixFLMLOR( A ) called from
IsFiniteDimensional( A ) called from
<function>( <arguments> ) called from read-eval-loop
Entering break read-eval-print loop ...
you can 'quit;' to quit to outer loop, or
you can 'return;' to continue
brk> quit;
I'm using GAP4 version 4.4.7 under WindowsXp (cygwin)
