This position is intended for candidates who have a PhD in Mathematics and who can demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching at all levels of Mathematics. The successful applicant will have research interests in combinatorics or graph theory, or a field closely related to these. The Department of Mathematics offers a full range of courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and has a growing PhD programme and a vibrant research culture spanning pure and applied mathematics and mathematics education. It is closely affiliated to, and hosts the offices of, the New Zealand Institute for Mathematics and Its Applications (http://www.nzima.org).
