Dear forum, My question is really the titular statement: could someone please provide a routine for constructing the generalised Fitting subgroup <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitting_subgroup#The_generalized_Fitting_subgroup>
of a finite group G? Provided that I have scanned the GAP manual thoroughly, this is not already implemented in GAP, and I hope that others may benefit from my question as well.
