Dear Forum, I am not sure whether this is a problem or not!
I am trying to install latest GAP release -- 4.8.4 on my 64bit Ubuntu 14.04 system (from the link http://www.gap-system.org/pub/gap/gap48/tar.gz/gap4r8p4_2016_06_04-12_41.tar.gz). After the successful compilation, if I start gap, then in the banner I can see the version as 4.8.3 with build of 4th June. Am I missing something while compilation?
