my absolute favorites are: monospace 821 - i've been using this until i check out... consolas - excellent readability, italic is different from normal, which is a nice touch
neither of those 2 are "free", neither has the zero middle dot/line, but its not a biggie consolas will ship withing windows vista, as well as lucida console is shipped in actual windows, i think this one is still not fully complete about symbols, but you should check it if you can, you'll like it (however it is not very... ehm... legal unless you have vista betas) and talking about lucida, as far as i know, many people like it for coding... some time ago i had a page in my internet links about programming fonts (free and not free), however i lost my favorites since then, i'll try to find it again (or some like that one) and post it -- <http://forum.pspad.com/read.php?4,28588,29254> PSPad freeware editor http://www.pspad.com
