Jan, Maybe I'm missing somthing, but your expression looks as though it strips off the drive letter and first colon from the filename, the debug button backs me up on this (is there some sort of frig involved?). I'll give it a try anyway, I'm only trying Ruby out so the problem is hardly critical. Cheers for the reply.
