:) I finally figured out the instructions on how to do a column edit (hold down ALT while selecting a column of text to edit). Following the advice about settings in the FAQ helped too.
:-( But, ALT-I is underwhelming. I agree 100% with the fellows here that wish for a REAL column edit, one allowing zero-width column selection when wanting to insert text somewhere in the middle (horizontally) of a set of lines.
